Problem A02

I forget to follow up with leads after they submit a form.

What you are doing now

You intend to reply the same day. You get busy. You remember two days later, or not at all. There is no record of who you contacted, so some people get chased twice and some never hear back.

How often: Per lead, continuously.

What you want instead

Every new lead gets an immediate acknowledgement, and a second touch fires on a defined schedule unless they have already replied.

The free option first

A calendar reminder and a saved Gmail template genuinely works below about five leads a week. HubSpot's free CRM also does basic follow-up sequences at no cost.

Who should not do this

Anyone whose leads are high-value and few. If you get three enquiries a month and each is worth thousands, an automated acknowledgement is worse than a personal reply written by you.

Before you build anything for this, the Automation Decision Sheet works out whether it is worth automating at all. It is free, needs no email address, and often concludes that it is not.
