How it bills you

Billing unit: Tasks. Triggers, iterators, routers, filters and formatters are not counted as tasks.

Billing units are not interchangeable between platforms. A “credit”, a “task” and an “execution” measure different things, and comparing the headline prices without comparing the units is how people get surprised.

What we can say in its favour

We tested itPabbly charged nothing for the webhook trigger or either iterator. In our tested workflow three of the steps were free and only the external calls were billed.

We tested itIt was the only platform of the three that recovered on its own: after a failure it scheduled an automatic re-execution and we confirmed it firing about ten minutes later.

We tested itIts cURL import parsed a complete request — method, URL, payload type and individual parameters — in a single step.

We tested itIts failure view offered a per-iteration selector, which was the most useful of the three for finding which item of a fan-out failed.

Limitations

We tested itIn our tested 10-line workflow a successful fan-out cost 11 paid tasks and a 1-line order cost 2 — one paid task per line item, plus one for the fetch.

We tested itA completely failing 10-line run cost the same 11 paid tasks as a successful one and wrote nothing.

We tested itBecause automatic re-execution is on by default, that failure then cost a further 10 paid tasks without notifying anyone. One broken order consumed 21 of our 100 free monthly tasks in about ten minutes.

We tested itSearching 'HTTP' in the app returned 'No results found', and so did 'API by Pabbly'. The HTTP app is called 'API (Pabbly)' and sits only under a 'Core Apps' tab.

We tested itReaching a nested line-item array required switching the response format to 'Advance' and then chaining a second iterator. Neither step is signposted.

DocumentedTask history is retained for 15 days and the iterator is capped at 500 records, per the product's own notices.
