SEO & marketing toolkit
Semrush
An SEO and marketing toolkit, not an automation platform. We have not run campaigns on it ourselves — this page reports only what Semrush documents about its own reporting automation and API, cited and dated.
Have we tested this?
⚠ We could not verify this No. We have not run a workflow on this platform, so this page reports only what the vendor documents and what we could verify from primary sources. We do not review software we have not used.
How it bills you
Billing unit: Monthly subscription tiers, plus a separate add-on subscription for its My Reports builder
Billing units are not interchangeable between platforms. A “credit”, a “task” and an “execution” measure different things, and comparing the headline prices without comparing the units is how people get surprised.
Free tier: 7-day free trial, no credit card required, per Semrush's own pricing page. Not a permanent free tier.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) |
|---|---|---|
| SEO | $139 (as of 2026-09-27) | $117.33 |
| Starter | $199 (as of 2026-09-27) | $165.17 |
| Pro+ | $299 (as of 2026-09-27) | $248.17 |
| Advanced | $549 (as of 2026-09-27) | $455.67 |
What we can say in its favour
DocumentedSemrush's own knowledge base documents scheduled reporting: a report can be set to send daily, weekly or monthly on a chosen day, delivered as a PDF by email, with no manual re-export required once it is set up. (Semrush knowledge base, accessed 2026-09-27)
DocumentedIts My Reports builder is documented as pulling data from Semrush plus 20+ other marketing tools (analytics, PPC, social, email) into one report, rather than each source being exported and assembled by hand. (Semrush knowledge base, accessed 2026-09-27)
DocumentedAn API exists for pulling report data programmatically, documented on Semrush's own API reference, for anyone who wants the numbers in their own system rather than a PDF. (Semrush knowledge base, accessed 2026-09-27)
Limitations
⚠ We could not verify thisWe have not tested any of this ourselves — no campaign run, no report scheduled, no API call made. Everything above is Semrush's own documentation, not our measurement, and is labelled that way throughout.
DocumentedMy Reports is a separate add-on subscription from the main SEO/Starter/Pro+/Advanced tiers above, and online dashboards specifically are gated to the Pro tier and higher of that add-on, per Semrush's own documentation. (Semrush knowledge base, accessed 2026-09-27; Semrush knowledge base, accessed 2026-09-27)
⚠ We could not verify thisWe could not verify actual time saved, report accuracy, or how the automation behaves when a connected data source fails — Semrush's documentation does not cover this and we have not run it to find out.
Who should not do this
Anyone with no ongoing content or SEO program — a reporting toolkit has nothing to report on. Also anyone whose SEO reporting is already a single free Google Search Console export a few times a month; per Search Console's own documentation that already exists at no cost, and the free-first checklist for this exact problem is on our SEO-reporting comparison page.
- The problem it addresses: Manual SEO reporting
- The comparison: Manual SEO reporting vs. Semrush's automated reports
What we earn if you use this
Nothing today. We have not applied to Semrush's affiliate programme and we are not approved. No link on this page is an affiliate link.
For the record, its published rate is Tiered by product and quarterly sales volume: $50–$450 per sale depending on the toolkit and loyalty tier, plus $10 per trial activation on most products, one-time per sale, not recurring, paid through Impact.com. Terms last verified 2026-09-27. Source. We are publishing that now, before applying, so you can judge whether it coloured what we wrote.
Semrush bills in Monthly subscription tiers, plus a separate add-on subscription for its My Reports builder. Prices above were checked on 2026-09-27. How this unit compares with the other platforms — the three units do not convert.
